MEET NATHAN
Nathan has worked with Berkeley County First Steps since 2020, serving as our inclusion specialist and AmeriCorps member. In his role, he supports children with disabilities and their families. He is no stranger to the profession. Nathan was born with cerebral palsy and says he was once that kid with his parents, looking for support. His entire professional career has been focused on supporting people with disabilities. At Berkeley County First Steps, Nathan is probably best known for his monthly virtual storytimes, where his goal is to create a safe space for children to talk about disabilities. He also offers professional development training for child care professionals and supports families with one-on-one coaching. Nathan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in social science from Charleston Southern University. |
